What We Believe
We believe the Bible to be the verbally inspired Word of God, that the Canonical Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments constitute the only infallible rule of faith and practice. We believe in the inspiration of the words as well as the human instruments who wrote them under the power of the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God is Triune; that there are three eternal, co-equal, Divine Persons in the Godhead: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one God.
We believe that God is the Father. We believe that God is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ and also the Father of all those who believe on and receive His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as Savior.
We believe in the eternal Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He is true God and true Man in One Person—without sin nature or sin.
We believe the Holy Spirit to be the Third Person of the Holy Trinity. He is God and He inspired holy men of God to write the Holy Scriptures; that the Lord Jesus Christ declared His office work to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, witness in and through believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, and to lead His followers into all by truth by the revelation of the Word of God.
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and that mankind is in a state of depravity, and of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the precious Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe that the Blood-redeemed saints, truly born-again (from above) believers in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only Savior, are saved and kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and that separation from all religious apostasy, compromise, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices and associations is commanded of God.
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven; that He is now our eternal High Priest after the order of Melchizedek; that He is our Advocate; that He ever lives to make intercession for us, and that He is the only Mediator between God and man.
We believe that the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ to His Church is to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature; that the baptism of water, being symbolic of the believer’s identification with Christ, and the fellowship of the Lord’s Supper are Divine institutions to be observed by all Christians in this Age until the Lord returns for His Church in the Rapture.
We believe in the Premillennial Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and that His coming is to be in two phases: First, coming for His Church-age saints, then at the end of the Tribulation coming back to earth with His saints in glory to earth, to judge the world. We strongly believe in the Pretribulation Rapture of the Church.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust, in the eternal conscious perdition of the lost, and the eternal life, joy, and bliss of the saved. The first resurrection has to do with the believers at the Rapture and the end of the Tribulation. The second resurrection has reference mainly to unbelievers and will occur at the end of the millennial reign of Christ in preparation for the Great White Throne Judgment.
